OUTFITTER DEPARTMENT / 01

Store it. Move it.
Protect it.

Water preparedness is more than owning a filter. Build a complete chain from source and storage through treatment, delivery and sanitation.

CHOOSE BY SCALE

Four levels of water

Portable treatment, stored household reserves and renewable property systems solve different problems. Strong plans use more than one layer.

01

Personal & portable

Carry, collect and treat water while traveling or away from established utilities.

  • Durable bottles
  • Collapsible containers
  • Portable filters
  • Backup treatment
03

Vehicle & evacuation

Transport water safely without allowing weight, leakage or contamination to become new problems.

  • Secure containers
  • Transfer pumps
  • Vehicle filtration
  • Field hygiene
04

Property systems

Develop renewable collection, larger storage and treatment for deeper resilience.

  • Rainwater collection
  • Cisterns and tanks
  • Wells and pumps
  • Whole-property treatment

THE COMPLETE CHAIN

A filter is one link,
not the whole answer.

Every link matters. Clean water can be lost through unsuitable containers, dirty hoses, poor handling or a treatment method that was never designed for the hazard.

  1. 01
    SOURCE

Know where the water came from and what may have entered it.

  2. 02
    STORAGE

Use appropriate containers, protect them and rotate as needed.

  3. 03
    PREFILTER

Remove sediment when necessary so later treatment can work as intended.

  4. 04
    TREATMENT

Match filtration, purification or disinfection to the actual hazard.

  5. 05
    DELIVERY

Prevent recontamination through clean dispensing, hoses, pumps and hands.

  6. 06
    SANITATION

Protect the water supply by controlling waste, cleaning and hygiene.

TREAT THE ACTUAL HAZARD

Clear does not mean safe.

No single device removes every biological, chemical, radiological or saltwater hazard. Follow current public-health instructions during advisories, understand the manufacturer's tested claims and limitations, and maintain a backup method appropriate to the situation.

WATER MANUFACTURERS & INSTALLERS

Help SAW complete the chain.

We welcome conversations with storage, filtration, pump, sanitation, rainwater, well and property-treatment companies. Paid relationships will be disclosed and never automatically earn an SAW Tested label.
